Sorry for the late update everyone! This month's speaker is Shawn Presser. He will be
giving his presentation, called "How to Start 3D Game Programming." He will discuss
basic engine architecture and will be publishing some free code online for people to
examine and use! This is the ideal talk for anyone interested in the basics!

This month, we have guest speaker Elonka Dunin, who is the author of The Mammoth
Book of Secret Code Puzzles! She will be giving a talk titled, "How Wikipedia is like a
multiplayer game." In her talk, she will discuss some ideas on game theory and
attempt to connect game theory with Wikipedia. As a top 300 contributor to Wikipedia,
as well as an elected administrator, she will also give some advice on how to get
involved in Wikipedia!
Also, bring your design ideas for the monthly design challenge!

Do to AGDC, the next meeting is getting moved back by one week to September 24th. I
will be there to give a full presentation about graphics in games, and demo some next
generation game technology. I will also be covering some of the tools required to make
next-generation content, as well as presenting some new, unreleased tools that will
help speed up creation of future art content.
Also, upon discussion with Ross at Sanford-Brown College, we will be presenting a
new monthly game design challenge for those interested!

Due to Siggraph being last week, the STLGameDev meetup is being held this
Wednesday night! Sorry to everyone for the late notice. I will be there to discuss
Siggraph and some observations on the current state of graphics in games.

Due to several requests, the STLGameDev meetup is moving to Wednesday nights!
For this month's meeting, we have a presentation planned which is a postmortem
discussion of a recently shipped AAA game title! Afterwards, there will be general game
industry discussion as in previous weeks.
